I would rate Malampuzha Dam, Palakkad as one of the best attraction among the dams "I HAVE VISITED" so far. In my opinion, this dam and park puts it next after Krishnaraja sagar dam near Mysore in Karnataka state, Mettur dam, Mettur in Tamil Nadu.state for the big garden and maintenance though the dam is not so big as the other two dams.

Nice location, on the way to kava, close to malampuzha dam and the usual places of interest around. Nice and clean rooms, toilets. A mini fridge and a safe locker within the wardrobe are on offer. A restaurant within the property served us with nice and tasty food.

Malampuzha Dam, located in Palakkad district of Kerala is the largest reservoir in Kerala. We will get a good view of the scenic hills of the Western Ghats in the background. We visited the dam during noon, hence not able to explore more due to hot climate. There is a well maintained garden as well as rope way.There is entry fee.

The Malampuzha Garden at the foot of the Dam was reconstructed recently at a cost of Rs. 21.57 crores. The 28.5 acres Garden is reconstructed as a miniature of the world famous Mughal Gardens.
